Nail polish reviews

Hello all sorry I have been missing in action for quite sometimes.

Today, I have 3 favourite nail liquor to share with you from the cheapest to the most expensive. I try to get my nails professionally done once a month and try to maintain them myself in the process. However, being a mum and a wife trying to maintain a fresh looking manicure and pedicure aren’t easy.

I have 4 bottles of chanel polish they are very very expensive at about $45 a bottle. To be honest other than the neat and fancy packing it’s no better than an average chemist nail polish. The applicator is quite thin and makes it very difficult to apply with lighter colour.

My next review is Essie. I only have love all the 3 bottle I’ve got they cost average $18 per bottle depends on where you get them from. The applicator is thick enough and easy to apply and fast drying. The colour last  up to a week.

Last but not least, I stumble upon L’oreal colour Ritch on sale at Target the other day my goodness I fell in love with the bottles, then the colour and right the applicator! For $5 dollar a bottle these nail liquors are perfect that some brand name ones can’t even compare too. I have the nude one on my nail right now and loving it. If ur like me who always change nail colour, L’oreal colour Riche is the way to go. The trick to any good nail is tho to start off with a smooth salon like nail and wear gloves when washing the dishes etc.

I have 4 bottles and I know I am craze, bits it’s better than spending $50 every for night at the salon right?

These L’oreal colour Riche were feature on face of L’oreal actresses at Cannes film festival 2014.

Laroche-Porsay

Another stressful night. Left work early again and took Aerita to the Dr. Only end up wasting 2 hours there and my poor baby were having a fever. Now asleep on my arms, my fingers typing this I want to share with you my recent love from Laroche-Posay

I bought these from Priceline at average price $25 each. Quite pricy but I love them. Left to right: toleraine toner, whitening lotion, deep cleanser, toleraine moisturiser and 50spf sunscreen.

Laroche-Posay is a French drug store skincare line. I has been a raved about brand in recent years. What I love most about French products is it is suitable for almost any skin type especially sensitive skin. I do not recommend the sunscreen to very oily-acne prone skin as it can be a little too heavy.

Cleanser- almost fragrance free. Foaming cleanser without drying. For those with oily skin and acne prone this might not feel clean enough.

Toner- alcohol- free yet still feel like my pore has been cleaned since using it.

Whitening lotion- I haven’t notice any dramatic change as I only use it once in the morning before moisturizing. I do notice tho that my complexion is a lot brighter

moisturiser- leaving my skin hydrated and not oily at all I finished this first I would buy it again especially in winter

sunscreen: very good coverage for those who look for high SPF protection. Compare to other sunscreen with 50spf I find this is not as oily or heavy. Although I prefer my all time favourite sunscreen of almost a decade which I will reveal in future post.

imageBonjour..just like to share with you what will be my agenda for the next few weeks and something I am challenging myself with.

After the birth of my daughter more than 2 years ago, I have never lost the baby weight. Cooking and my lack of determination is to blame for. On top of that, it is the love for sweets.

I have been making easy and healthy breakfast and I hope this new eating habit will help me shed off some weight.

What you will need is half avocado, preferably Shepard, almond butter and natural pancake syrup.

Salmon with a twist french vinaigrette

Tonight is another stressful night. I’ve got a phone call from Day Care to pick up my sick daughter. So after everything is settled and we got home, I was blanked about what to cook. I have prepare my meat, fish and poultry a head on the weekends. So I took out the salmon cutlet and decide to make something very simple yet so tasty.

1 salmon cutlet defrost

Mixed salad with some rockets

Thinly slice nashi

sultanas

For the dressing

  •  1 tea spoon Dijon mustard
  • red sherry vinegar
  • salt
  • 3 table spoon olive oil, preferably extra virgin
  • one small shallot
  • sprig of flat leaf parsley

Start by lightly season both side of the salmon with salt and pepper and leave it to rest on the plate or paper towel.

Next, finely chop up the shallot and put into one table spoon of the red sherry and sprinkle some salt. Leave for 10 mins.

This process will pickle the shallot and release its flavour to the fullest. Then, add the mustard and olive oil and chopped parsley. Make sure to mix well.

Once the dressing is done, pan fry the salmon skin first until golden brown and the skin crispy. Serve on the plate with salad and dressing.

You will be surprise how much balance and texture the nashi and sultana brings to the salad. Enjoy

The Return..

The Return..

Hello there.. Welcome to stylewithchezvee blog

. A dear friend http://www.unauhenticcook.com has inspired me to start blogging again.

I have blogged before as a teen then with uni and work consumed me, I have stopped.

Almost a decade later, now married to a wonderful husband and having a beautiful daughter, I have learnt the most important lesson: multitasking and to be smart with my time.

I will be sharing pictures of foods I love and foods I cook. My apologies ahead if I don’t tend to give the exact measurement of what goes into the foods but golden rule is ‘less is more’ start soft and gradually build up on those salt and spices.

This blog will be based on my day to day life, my love for foods and cooking and another non-food related passion is make up and fashion.

I hope you enjoy my blog and feel free to leave comments.
